The Adams Chapter was just awarded an Embrace A Stream grant for $6500. There is also an opportunity to raise more through a crowdfunding campaign organized by Trout Unlimited with some matching funds from Orvis. This offer runs from November 4 through November 10. The Brook Trout Coalition is hosting a movie night next week showing Artifishal, a film produced by Patagonia. Artifishal is a film about people, rivers, and the fight for the future of wild fish and the environment that supports them. It explores wild salmon’s slide toward extinction, threats posed by fish hatcheries and fish farms, and our continued loss of faith in nature. It will be at Traverse City's Hagerty Center starting at 6pm. Admission is $8 for adults, students under 17 will be free. Advance tickets are available here.
Hey everyone, just some news regarding The Boardman River that you should be aware of. On October 30th, there will be a meeting hosted by Traverse City's Downtown Development Authority Boardman Leadership team in and the Great Lakes Fisheries Commission. The meeting will be held at The City Opera House and will run from 5:30-7pm. Questions to be addressed can be submitted online here, until October 21st.
