Simms launches new G3 waders
The G3 is an icon. For years, it has been the wader everything is compared to. It's pretty difficult to argue with a top tier wader built in Bozeman with very breathable, very durable Gore-Tex.
The development of this new generation has focused extensively on what most anglers see as the most important quality: durability. Even as we see less and less domestic production, the G3 continues to be built in Bozeman - something we hope will never change.
Simms Official Release Copy:
"For decades, G3 has earned the trust of guides who spend season after season in their waders. They choose it because their season depends on it. The rest of us choose it because the trip matters too much to leave our gear to chance. The all-new G3 Pro takes that proven durability even further with the most pinhole-puncture-resistant 4-layer GORE-TEX Pro fabric GORE has ever developed. Combining proven waterproof protection, breathability and comfort, it’s built in Bozeman and tested harder than any G3 before it—because every day on the water matters."
Our First Impressions:
Of course it's going to take some time and river miles to get a full picture of how this new generation will fare over time but as long as Simms hasn't changed the classic G3 recipe - we think it will be a winner. Many of our staff and guides have worn G3s over the years. Most of us still have a few old pairs hanging in the garage as reliable backups. The G3 has always been the wader with just enough features without reaching excess. Comfortable, durable and reliable, we're excited to see where this new generation takes our customers.
