Matt's Minion Tutorial
Welcome back to Fly Friday! We hope you're reading this getting ready for a weekend of fishing...or at least spending some time at the fly tying bench. The Minion is a "small" streamer I started tying and tinkering with this spring. It has a tall head profile and very light-weight rear end that flutters in the current. I'll be the first to tell you it is not completely original as I've borrowed immensely from other great flies available today. I hope you'll play with the colors, materials, and concepts and create something that can work for you can maybe even catch a fish or two.
FAIR WARNING: This is a much longer video than we usually put out but it addresses all the materials and techniques used in depth. We may be putting out a shorter version in the future.
