Fishing Report 11/7/19
Wow, how quickly the seasons have changed in Northern Michigan! If you feel like I do about it things are not going to get much better in the next week. At least the snow covered all the leaves I still have to rake...
STEELHEAD
Honestly, fishing has slowed down this past week as cold weather has rolled into the North. That doesn't mean fish are not being caught though! Those with some time to spend really picking apart the water looking for stubborn fish that are holding tight to wood should be able to find a few. Low and slow presentations are going to be the key fishing yarn eggs, beads, and nymphs. No silver bullet flies this week so mix it up and get after it!
TROUT
Lately the local trout have been suffering from SADD and laying low. We expect however as the weather stabilizes and spawning finishes up things will be getting better. Get your streamer lines ready and stock up on your favorite patterns, if you're willing to brave the cold the fish will soon be looking to eat!
Remember, we're stocked up at The Northern Angler with base layers, insulation, thick socks, winter gloves, winter hats so you can get out and stay out this time of year!
