The broad blades offer a stouter feel and increased stability, regardless of what you're cutting.  The oversized handles are ergonomically designed to accommodate the tyers who got in the hand line twice, and the blades are honed to perfection right here in the USA.  These are an excellent pair of scissors for working with big materials and tying big flies.
