Russ Maddin's Chromatic Peanut Tutorial

Hey everyone, happy Friday to you all.. Looks like we're going to have another cold one that will be great to sit down at the bench and crank a few flies out and dream of warmer weather. Maybe get a few friends together, share materials and learn a new pattern.

January 14th we had our first Flies at The Franklin of the year and featured Russ Maddin and his enduring streamer flies. It was a huge turnout, and a great start to  our winter fly tying events. Russ tied two flies for us and I'm still working on editing the second to be released at a later date. For this edition  of Fly Friday, we're showing off his Chromatic Peanut, and updated version of his classic Circus Peanut. If you think you might be interested in attending Flies at The Franklin or another event, check out the events page for more info. This coming Monday (January 28th), we'll be at it again with Cory Golden tying one dry and one wet, both are Michigan classics.
