Sneak Peak: Simms Fall 22 Lineup

The other day Brian and I met with Matt Kwitek, our midwest Simms rep to see the fall 2022 lineup. Although there are certainly production and availability concerns that continue to plague everyone in the industry, Simms will be launching some fantastic looking product this fall. Most of the new products will be in the sportswear category so you'll see very little change to the existing wader and boot lineup.

Here are some highlight notes on products you'll see in fall 2022:

Updated Pro Wading Staff

I was really happy to see an updated pro wading staff is coming to the lineup in the fall. When Simms released the standard wading staff it unfortunately outshined the current pro model with its simplicity, included accessories, and superior molded sheath. The new pro model will incorporate several features from the standard and has some amazing new features. First off, this thing truly deploys with one hand which is just crazy! The new hybrid construction is very stiff and features a comfortable cork grip and adjustable height. Expect a full review when we get our hands on these.

New Cardwell Jacket & Vest

The whole Fall sportswear lineup looks amazing but the new Cardwell jackets and vests might be my favorite new cold weather gear from Simms. A nylon/canvas exterior feels durable like a more technical Carhartt fabric. Large baffles give these pieces a vintage feel without feeling outdated. Primaloft insulation paired with sherpa fleece lining will definitely keep you warm all winter long.

New Santee Flannel Hoody

It's important to remember that flannel comes in more than just heavy weights for winter months. Brian and I both love this new lightweight flannel that is unbelievably soft and perfect for a summer bonfire on the beach. With the hooded construction, we'd probably put this on over a t-shirt rather than wear it as a stand-alone piece.

New Henry's Fork Hoody

I can guarantee you'll see the entire staff wearing this piece when it launches in the fall. Think of a slightly heavier sun-wear fabric made of natural, recycled, and synthetic fibers to provide both comfort and performance. We simply cannot stress how soft and comfortable this thing feels.

These were just a few of the many great pieces you can expect to see in-store and online at The Northern Angler this fall.
